There were tons of sales going on at CVS this week so I'd figured I'd give Revlon ColorBurst Lipsticks another try -this time in Peach.
This is a great week to buy any Revlon products (at CVS.) The coupons I used for my purchases were Buy 1 Get 1 Half Off Revlon, $4 off $20 purchase, $3 off Revlon purchase, free Beauty Charm with $15 Purchase, and two $1 off Revlon (retailer) coupons. That's a total of $9 off plus the free charm.
The Packaging: The lipstick is packaged in a matte black tube with quilted detailing that alternates around the tube. I really wish the quilting would go all around the tube because it slightly cheapens it. The top of the cap displays a color square depicting the lipstick shade while the bottom of the tube has the color name written on it. I also do like that the lipstick itself is imprinted with the word "Revlon."
Ingredients
The Product: I said it before when I reviewed Carnation but this is the best drugstore lipstick I've tried formula-wise. The lipstick feels nice on my lips and actually keeps my lips soft unlike so many other drugstore lipsticks. When I take it off, my lips are still in the condition as before applying the lipstick (no more moisturized or dry.) Also, it feels light on the lips, doesn't sink into my lips lines, and isn't patchy. The color payoff is great -it can be semi-sheer but still buildable. Also, the lipstick doesn't have a smell or taste and lasts for 3 hours and fades gradually.
The Color: Peach is a warm, darkened, but bright, slightly orange-red peach with tiny silver shimmers.

Overall: I know this is sort of expensive for a drugstore product but I really can't believe how good it is. To me, it compares to and is even better than some higher-end lipsticks but priced at the low-end price. The only thing is, I really wasn't feeling this color -especially with my new hair color. It's too loud for me personally but may work for those who like brighter shades or already have pigmented lips to begin with (I've heard of this being a good MLBB color for some.) I'd repurchase this but in a different shade -still trying to find a ColorBurst shade that works for me.

Where To Buy: Drugstore.com, CVS, Target, Walmart, Rite Aid

  2. Hey I just bought Lilac and will be reviewing it soon. And no, I don't own any products from those brands -I've never even heard of them! I'll look out for them though and do some research. Will definitely review if I ever buy them.

  4. @ Isabel.. Oh no! I actually avoided Soft Nude and Baby Pink because I heard they were drying -paler lipsticks tend to be more drying in general.

The darker shades like Carnation, Peach, and Lilac are definitely not drying for me though -I recommend giving them a try if you like medium-darker shades.
