Urban Decay @ Sephora: NAKED News (And Other New Sephora Must-Haves)

Just a few days ago, I mentioned that the new Urban Decay NAKED Palette ($44) was on My List. It's supposed to launch on the Urban Decay website on July 29th but it's already on Sephora's site today!! (It won't be in Sephora stores until July 29th.) Click here to buy early!!
P.S. I've seen people buying it on Ebay in the last couple of weeks for around $80. That's so stupid IMO -just wait until it comes out geez and you won't have to spend an extra $40+. Also, those sellers who are selling the palettes may be beauty bloggers who were sent the palettes for free! (There was this whole big deal about that..) I'm not saying they definitely are but if that's the case, that's really not cool. Either that or they work for a company and can get the products early?
UPDATE: I just looked up on Ebay to see how much people are paying for the UD NAKED Palette right now (July 14th.) There are tons of listings but the one with the highest bid is at $74.99 ($71.00 bid price + $4.99 Shipping.)
These folks could get it at Sephora for $44 (plus tax) and free shipping (if they spend over $50.) Even if they got it at Sephora online and paid for next day air shipping ($16.95), it would still be cheaper!!!!! Going that route would cost $60.95 (not including tax.)
There are also some other cool new items!! Ugh, might have to add more to The List..
The UD Naked Palette may have to wait -I found out that this LORAC Private Affair Palette ($38) just arrived. I love all my LORAC palettes and eyeshadows and have never owned a bad one -they probably make my favorite (pressed) eyeshadows. They're smooth and butterly, last super long, and blend like a dream. I think LORAC is seriously underrated.

This new Tokidoki Pittura Brush Set ($35) is so whimsical and cute. I love that each brush handle is designed differently in different colors -it's more fun than matching. It would be awesome if they made a whole Tokidoki brush Set including eye and face brushes in a neat brush roll.

Sucks because I told myself I'd limit myself to just My List but now it looks like the new LORAC Palette will surely be added. Seriously, if I was to recommend a brand that designs great palettes that are sophistcated, not too "young", and doesn't contains eyeshadows that are too glittery, it would be LORAC.

  1. Those TokiDoki brushes are uber cute, and I love the teddy bear hair looking quality. Two Faced also came out with a new brush and an eyeshadow palette named "naked" lol. It came into my store today, and I love it!!

  2. Oh yea! The Naked & Sexy Palette I believe. I liked it but wasn't crazy about it -mostly because I have similar shades already. I bought it a few weeks ago online and did a review here:

  5. That is crazy about how people are selling the Naked palette. And what's even crazier is that people are willing to pay double! It's not like UD will ever run out of it :p

  6. Oh I know! Seriously, I don't think people realize that -that's why you do your research first! Hopefully people realize by now it WILL come out and to just wait.

Plus, it's NOT limited edition as far as I know. It's not like the Book Of Shadows Palettes where it'll be sold out forever.

  7. I have a friend that lives somewhere in europe but sephora doesn't ship there, so she asks me to buy them and ship it to her all the time lol. Hmm this post got me thinking of a business idea of being the "mediator" hahaha

  8. I'm glad these are on your list because I won't be grabbing the UD Naked Palette. I have too many neutrals so can't justify purchasing it. However, the newly Burberry launch might make me broke!

  9. I just ordered the Naked palette a few days ago from Sephora and I can't wait to get it! And I agree that the prices it's going for on ebay is ridiculous, especially considering it is not limited edition. But it actually was available on Urban Decay's website on June 29th, not July...it just sold out that same day. That LORAC palette looks gorgeous by the way! xx

  10. Awesome! (I just saw your blog post) ..Glad you're loving it.

I can't wait to get it to but I'm just going to wait until it hits stores so I can swatch it and everything.

    And I <3 LORAC!!

  11. Unfortunately ppl living internationally have to resort to paying ridiculous Ebay prices - I live in Australia and Sephora won't ship to our country.

  12. Oh, just for interest sake.. here, the price of a Revlon lippie is AUD$20 and Nars blush AUD$62 (http://www.meccacosmetica.com.au/shop/nars/blush/).. How I envy people living in the US!!

I live in a capital city and Urban Decay is nowhere to be found :( I keep crossing my fingers in hope that a store will oneday stock their gorgeous palettes!

  13. @ Melody.. That's horrible!! I've traveled outside the US and have seen crazy prices too -I wish they had Urban Decay in there for you. Hopefully they do open a store one day and I hope you don't have to resort to Ebay for the NAKED palette.

I've seen other Urban Decay palettes on Ebay for cheaper though. Were you interested in an of Urban Decay's other palettes? ..You can probably get those for a better deal.

  14. I think I'll wait and see how prices on Ebay go with the NAKED Palette.. if I'm really lucky, ACW might start stocking it.. I used to search for the BOS palette online but after adding postage, it costs 3x RRP :/
Strangely enough.. we have Inglot here.

The only (beauty world) upside to living in Australia is that our MAC collections are launched about a month behind the US, so we get to learn (in detail) about which products to buy well in advance (eg Stereo Rose!) - and it even took over a day for that to sell out!
