I Won! Giveaway Goodies (The Little Bra Company Sascha Bra Review)

I've been meaning to post this for so long but kept lagging!! Anyways, the lovely PetiteAsianGirl (check out her wonderful blog here) joined forces with The Little Bra Company (a company that designs bras especially for petite women) to host a giveaway for the followers of Extra Petite a few weeks ago. I entered without really thinking I'd win........ and to my surprise, I DID indeed win!! Thank you so much again to PetiteAsianGirl and The Little Bra Company! =)
The prize was a lovely Sascha Bra (strapless lace) so I was super excited since I've been needing a good strapless bra. Bras for petite girls are general pretty hard to find and the difficulty is doubled.. maybe even tripled when it comes to strapless bras. For me, strapless bras tend to either dig (at the top) into my chest in a way giving me a boob muffin top or the band is too big that I have to pull the bra up every few minutes.
Anyways, the package was delivered super quickly -it only took 3 days! Let me show you the lovely packaging..
I love when things are packaged nicely (gift boxes, ribbons, etc.) so I thought it was so cute how the bra wasn't just "tossed" into tissue paper -the tissue paper was folded all neat like an envelope (see 1st pic.) To secure the "flap", there was a TLBC (The Little Bra Company) sticker. Love their slogan!
Probably the sexiest "postcard" I've ever received.. This nearly nakey lady is thinking of me??
I love personalized touches!
How To Wear The Little Bra
Here's what it looks like. I chose the color "pearl" which is a light beige -not bright white like the picture.
Here's the back. There are also convertible straps.
Here's a closeup of the detailing.

So what do I think of my new little bra?
I followed the TLBC size chart and the bra fit pretty well. (They recommend that you go up a band size from your usual bra size too and I did.) The band fits pretty good (closed at the "tightest" hooks) but it's a little bit loose -not as loose as my other strapless bras though and it doesn't slide down but it's loose. As for the cups, they fit perfectly and don't pinch into my chest at all. The Sascha bra is also supposed to be a push-up -no strapless has ever "pushed me up" before. Every strapless I've tried tends to make the chest look smaller and flatter because the cups are so -"flatly" designed.
Anyways, this did give me a little "push up" -not as much of a push up as my normal (non-strapless) bras but it still did give me some lift. I also really like the color (it doesn't show under white or light clothing -I wouldn't wear a light bra under black clothing) and love the lace detailing. Overall, the bra is very comfortable and the fit is nice although I'd prefer the band to be just a tad smaller. I would definitely recommend the bra to any petite ladies out there.
I really want to try the other bras -especially the Angela. I also want to try the Yvonne and Lucia-AB.
Thank you again PAG & The Little Bra Company!! <3

P.S. I am currently having a giveaway too so if you want a chance to win some makeup, Hello Kitty goodies, and some of my favorite treats, click here to enter! It's super simple, easy, and open to everyone -plus, there are FOUR winners.

  5. Thanks for this review...you know, although they recommend going up one size I found that to be slightly misleading because the band sizes from bra style to bra style varied. So my one wish is for their band sizes to be more consistent across styles.

For the Sascha I took the same size that I do in my other bras. I'm sorry it wasn't as snug as it could be, but I am glad you like it!

  7. I also agree that the recommendation to go up a band size is misleading and if I did, it would completely defeat the purpose of getting a "petite" bra.

I'm also hosting a giveaway for a free TLBC bra on my blog... maybe you'll win another one in the right size this time! :)

  8. @ PAG.. I really wish I had just gone with my regular size now! I'm wondering if it's the same with their other bras though.. Go up a size or stick to your usual size? Thanks again!

@ PetiteLittleGirl.. Thank you dear. =)

@ PetiteXXS.. Thank you for letting me know! If I order one next time, I'll probably stick to my regular size since you and PAG mentioned the same problem.

  9. Hi ladies, this is Emily from The Little Bra Company. First of all, congrats to Kali! I came across your comments and wanted to personally thank you all for your enthusiasm about our bras! It’s come to my attention that our current fit guide can be slightly confusing, and it is of course not our intention to do so. The sizing guide and fit tips are there to help you, but the best thing to do is try on the bra. Therefore, we have a 30-day return/exchange policy, so that you have an opportunity to find the right fit for you. I certainly value the opinions and feedback from all of you in the petite community, and wanted to let you know that we’ll be revising our fit guide per your suggestions. For the time being, I’m planning on removing the “fit tip” from the site. If you have feedback about your TLBC bra, please feel free to let us know by emailing info@thelittlebracompany.com. We always aim to make the TLBC experience better for all of you, and your feedback enables us to do so. Thanks so much again!

  10. Hi Emily,

Thank you for the thoughtful comment. I think the Fit Guide have may worked for some but for others, it just didn't work out (fits on everyone are bound to be different.) I felt like the fit was ok but definitely could've been snugger -especially for a strapless. It's wonderful that you've taken the time to review the comments and feedback and remove the guide from your site. Hopefully, another more thorough size chart/fit guide comes out as online hshopping in general is always a little difficult.

  13. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it! roaman\'s winter coats
